Instructors are responsible for sharing the 10/15 minute passing period between classes. No instructor “owns” the classroom during the passing period. Effort should be made to end class and vacate the room in a timely manner so the next instructor may prepare for their class. Student questions should be encouraged to take place in the hallway or during office hours.
Should conflicts arise, instructors should attempt to reach a resolution. If this is not possible department heads/chairs may be asked to mediate the conflict.
